Abstract

The Peace, resulting in the conquest by Rome, of all the lands around the Mediterranean and, therefore, the birth of the Roman Empire, also favored the emergence of the conditions necessary for the dissemination of Christianity outside the home niche. The eastern outskirts of the Roman rule, in fact, in just a few years, the new faith gained the very heart of the kingdom: Rome. Already in the apostolic age, in fact, even before the Apostle Paul arrive in the capital, the evangelic message had reached the City, and he created a first Christian community. But by what means? What had allowed such a rapid spread of the new faith? What were the territories most affected and why? In contributions are taken into account the relationship between the spread of Christianity and its structuring with the social, political, economic and territorial transformations, resulting the State’s reorganization operated by the reforms implemented by Augustus.
